Details
This walk will start at the Perseverance Dam carpark.
We will walk steeply down Perseverance Creek
then follow the creek to its junction with Crows Nest creek at the eastern end of Valley of Diamonds.
We will rock hop/scramble over and through the rugged boulders upstream to Crows Nest Falls and escape
the gorge via a steep gully to the north. We will then follow a path back to the lookout, overlooking
the Valley of Diamonds, before taking the path back to the Crows Nest NP picnic area.
Grade M74
For those who are uncertain about rock scrambling, an easier alternative option will be available to bypass
the scramble through the Valley of Diamonds.
Grade M34
Meet: Neil St carpark at 8am
Take: Smoko and lunch, 2 litres of water, wear sun protective clothing and hat.
Footwear: Non slip soles for the scrambling.
