We do require non members, as well as inexperienced members, to contact the walk leader first to get their approval to attend the clubwalk.

Please advise the activity leader of your experience level in relation to the proposed walk. It will also allow the activity leader to discuss walk and other requirements with you.

Details	In addition to the Main Range packwalk over the coming weekend, I am leading a base camp with day walks in the Mt Huntley area. This weekend will provide walkers with the opportunity to experience some of the delights of the Main Range National Park including spectacular views, a rainforest razorback ridge, and a variety of vegetation types on the ridges. We will camp at the end of the Swanfels valley below the western side of Mt Huntley on Saturday and Sunday nights. On Monday we will drive round to Teviot Gap at the southern end of the park to visit the unexpected beauty of Kinnane's Falls. This program will enable us to provide some transport assistance to the pack walkers, as well as experiencing typical walking conditions in the Main Range area, and perhaps give you some incentive for a future packwalk yourselves. We will meet at the Stenner St car park behind Coles Supermarket on Saturday morning for a 6.00am departure. The meeting place in the car park is just below the old post office. Bring drinking water for the weekend, as cattle in the area make the creek water very suspect without treatment. As the days are still warm, carry two litres of water for the walks on Saturday and Monday, and three litres on Saturday. Expect cool nights, so bring some warm clothes. Also, a rare luxury these days, we will be able to have a campfire at night!! Because of the late notice for this base camp, I will need anyone who wishes to attend, and who did not nominate at the meeting last Wednesday, to contact me by Thursday night.
