Details Down in the Rockmount area are some remnants of old native rainforest that are quite special. Some of the Toowoomba Bushwalkers last year got a glimpse of these old forests and it was thought ideal to go back and have another look – this time at a much slower pace and ask the field naturalists to join us.

It seems the rainforest has dried out a lot after talking to the owner, who would also like to join us. As our visitors, they would have a wealth of knowledge on such subjects. So this is more of an observation and study walk as that is what the field naturalists do best – come along and learn about the plant and animal life.

A very easy walk, graded S11.

Meet at the Neil St car park at 8.00am.

Bring smoko and something to drink as we will return around lunch time.

60km round trip.
